New Teacher Appreciation Week is May 1st through 5th.  Please help us celebrate our wonderful Wolftrap teachers by contributing to our activities next week.  Parents are asked to volunteer during recess on Thursday, May 4 so that teachers can enjoy an extended lunch period.  Please view the signup link: Sign up here to help! MON, MAY 1- Please bring in a school tool for your teacher; WED, MAY 3Bring in a handwritten note telling your teachers what you like about their class; FRI, MAY 5Bring in a special treat for your teachers.  

New May 8-12th is the 9th Annual Vienna Bike/Walk Challenge.  All the elementary schools in Vienna are participating.  The Challenge started in May 2009 when a couple of the schools decided to get more kids to bike & walk to school. Last year Wolftrap was 3rd in both the Overall and Bike Cup.  In order to have a successful week, we NEED counters at 4 locations every morning from 8 to 830.  All you need is sunglasses, a cup of coffee, clipboard and pen.   Please consider coming out and helping. New Congratulations to the Seven Wolftrap teams that participated in the Odyssey of the Mind Regional Team Competition on March 4, 2017.  Three of our Wolftrap teams won regional awards; one advanced to the state finals on April 1, 2017.  The state finalist team members are Nate Bishop, Anthony Lim, Arjith Matthew, Ryan Maxwell, Benjamin Schulenberg and Elizabeth Yi.  Check out the Odyssey of the Mind page for more details and to learn about the program.   

New Congratulations to participants in the National Reflections Art Competition! Kamil Batalvi, Lily Eldridge, Julia Elliot Ortega, Vivian Filko, Cassie Geer, Anna Pearle Gray, Zachary Herr, Dmitry Jones, Brandon Kim, Eva Klovas, Lydia Kraft, Daisy Lin, Sia Makrigiorgos, Shawn Mansur, Isabel McCaskey, Lexi Plaster, Sonya Rooney, Anika Shah, Shreya Tolani, and Elena Zeitlin. New It's already that time of year again, where the PTA looks ahead to fill any known open positions for the next school year. The PTA can't run without your support! Please check the flyer to see where we could really use extra hands.

Wolftrap will again host Camp Invention this summer from July 17-21. This camp always fills up fast and usually has a long wait list, so if you haven't done so yet, now is the time. See flyer for more information or visit www.campinvention.org to register.

Beulah Safety Initiative.  Alison Gramann and Jeff Anderson are forming a committee to discuss how to work with the Virginia DOT and Fairfax County DOT to improve safety conditions on Beulah Road.  Click here for more information.

New Marshall HS Field Hockey Camp The Marshall Field Hockey Camp will be June 26-29 from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $120. This is a terrific camp to learn the fundamental skills of the game and is open to rising 3rd-10th grade students.  For the registration form, please go here and click on More - Files & Links.
