FAIRFAX COUNTY SPECIAL EDUCATION PTA (SEPTA)
The Fairfax County SEPTA provides information on a variety of local and other resources to help parents. You do not need to be a SEPTA member to access these resources.

RESOURCES:
FCPS
The school district provides information on special education instruction on the FCPS website and also has a newsletter focused on special education. You can also find more resources at the Parent Resource Center. Each year, FCPS holds an annual special education conference in the spring.

Office of the Family and Student Ombudsman (an independent, confidential resource for students, families, and community members, offering informal help to resolve concerns, problems, complaints, and other student-related issues)

Parent Workshops (free events to help & advise parents on a variety of topics)

Parent Library (has over 6,000 books, DVDs, and CDs that can be borrowed by parents on topics related to parenting and educating children)
National PTA
