Spring 2023 - Denise Lawson

Denise Lawson and her sled dogs will visit Wolftrap students Tuesday, April 11, 2023 for a special reading event with one session for grades K-3 and one session for grades 4-6. She will read one of her stories followed by an interactive multimedia presentation that includes her own photos and video footage from her dog sledding expeditions in Alaska. She also teaches the kids sled dog commands and shows them how to harness a sled dog. For the older kids, she also discusses how to plan an expedition and the challenges encountered on the trail.
