How do I join the PTA?

To join the PTA, visit our website -- wolftrappta.org -- and sign up for a Membership Tool Kit account. You will then be directed on how to join the PTA. Membership is $25 per family. 

 

How can I contact the PTA?

You can contact the PTA board by sending an email to president@wolftrappta.org. You can find other PTA contact information here.

 

If I join the PTA, am I required to volunteer or go to meetings?

No, you are not required to volunteer or attend meetings.  The membership dues help support the programs and events that the PTA sponsors. Volunteering is optional.  

 

PTA PROGRAM & EVENT FAQs

 

How do I sign my student up for after school activities?

After creating an account on the PTA website (wolftrappta.org), sign in, and click on "My Account".  Then access the after school programs under "New Forms".  You can make selections for multiple students and pay directly through the website.  If you have any issues or questions, contact the After School Program committee at afterschools@wolftrappta.org

 

Are extended hours available for my student (before or after school care)?

School Age Child Care (SACC) provides a program at Wolftrap, before and after school, 7am-6:15pm.  Find more information about SACC at https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/ofc/school-age-child-care/. Sign up early because there can be a waitlist.  

 

Where can I get the email address for my student's teacher?

A Faculty directory can be found on the school's website at https://wolftrapes.fcps.edu/about/meet-wes-staff.

  

How do I get a school directory?

Join the PTA and get a school directory with your membership. 

 

How do I order a Wolftrap shirt or other spirit wear?

Visit https://wolftrappta.membershiptoolkit.com/Spirit_wear.  There is a link there to view the spirit wear options and order online.  Please keep in mind that all orders are collected until a specified deadline and are then submitted together.

 

INFORMATION DISTRIBUTION FAQs 

 

How do I send out information that is only relevant to a specific class?

Contact your room parent or your teacher to distribute the information to the parents of the class.  If you don't know who your room parent is or how to contact them, send an email to president@wolftrappta.org.

 

How do I send out information that is only relevant to a specific grade level?

A1: Contact the grade level room parent to include the information in their next grade level communication.

A2: Contact the grade level teachers to send out the information by email or hard copy.

 

How do I send out information that is relevant to the whole school or a large portion of the student body?

A1: Post the information on the Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/wolftrappta) if it is information regarding the school, the PTA, or its programs or events.  All posts are reviewed and screened based on their applicability to the school community. Do NOT post information regarding your neighborhood, church, scouting groups, or civic organizations.

A2: Send an email to Mrs. Hardin (school librarian) to include the information on the school's morning news show.

A3: Send an email to communications@wolftrappta.org to include information in the next edition of the school/PTA newsletter, the Wolftrap Connection, which is distributed every other Monday.

A4: Send an email to webmaster@wolftrappta.org to include the information on the PTA web page.

A5: Ask the front office for permission to send a hard copy flyer home with students.
